PHCC provides the following services in support of breast and bowel cancer screening.

Scheduling

Our national cancer screening call center performs outreach to promote breast and bowel cancer screening, as well as scheduling of appointments. Our professionals conduct a clinical risk assessment to ensure the most appropriate visit for your patients.

Breast screening

The Ministry of Public Health  recommends a mammography screening of the breasts every three years to increase the chance of early detection and treatment.

Accurate reading of a mammogram depends on the training and experience of the radiologists and technologists performing it, as well as on having the most advanced mammography equipment.

PHCC uses the latest digital mammography equipment and is staffed by a network of top women’s imaging specialists from around the world. We provide the highest-quality care for your patients.

Bowel screening

The Ministry of Public Health recommends bowel screening annually for men and women aged between 50 and 74 showing no bowel cancer symptoms . Annual bowel screening increases the possibility of catching bowel cancer early, when treatment can ensure the best possible outcomes.

PHCC provides information and scheduling to the public to encourage adoption of healthy behavior (including regular screening) and to guide patients on any questions about their Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT), such as how to obtain the kit, submit samples and follow up on results.
