The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) is leading a month long campaign across Qatar’s leading malls in recognition of the international Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A number of specialized liaison staff will be available for visitors to speak to at each of PHCC’s Activation Booths, offering guidance and advice on the right process of screening. They will also be on-hand to raise awareness of available facilities across Qatar and will be highlighting the importance of screening at the soonest possible time. Women can register to be called by PHCC’s call center to make a screening appointment if they are aged 45 years or older.
In addition to the Activation Booth, PHCC will be showcasing its Mobile Breast Screening Unit that was inaugurated earlier this year. The unit, the first of its kind in Qatar, will initially focus on offering mammography.
