Screen For Life Program is leading a month long campaign across Qatar’s leading malls in recognition of the international Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A number of specialized liaison staff will be available for visitors to speak to at each of Activation Booths, offering guidance and advice on the process of screening highlighting the importance of screening at the soonest possible time. Women can register to be called by the program’s call center to make a screening appointment if they are aged 45 years or older.
In addition to the Activation Booth, the Mobile Screening Unit will be present in Doha Festival City from October 15th till 31st offering mammogram screening to eligible ladies

Breast and Bowel Screening Program held awareness lectures about breast cancer and the importance of screening at Qatar Financial Center on Monday, 26 Sep. The sessions were very interactive, and ladies were very engaged. They even had the place decorated in pink (balloons and chocolate).

A number of specialized liaison staff will be available for visitors to speak to at each of PHCC’s Activation Booths, offering guidance and advice on the right process of screening. They will also be on-hand to raise awareness of available facilities across Qatar and will be highlighting the importance of screening at the soonest possible time. Women can register to be called by PHCC’s call center to make a screening appointment if they are aged 45 years or older.
In addition to the Activation Booth, PHCC will be showcasing its Mobile Breast Screening Unit that was inaugurated earlier this year. The unit, the first of its kind in Qatar, will initially focus on offering mammography.

Screen for Life Marketing and Education team will be joining a panel of experts during an Al Khor Community lecture on breast cancer and the importance of early screening. A number of specialized liaison staff will be on-hand to offer guidance and support. In addition, PHCC will be showcasing its Mobile Screening Unit and providing immediate screening and mammograms on the day.

In collaboration with the Qatar National Library the Screen for Life Marketing and Education team will be presenting at Qatar Foundation Student Center to raise awareness of breast cancer. The lecture will highlight the importance of early screening and include an inspirational talk from Mrs Aisha Al Tamimi, who has successfully undergone treatment for breast cancer. During the session she will share her experiences and provide guidance to others. Visitors will also be able to visit PHCC’s Mobile Screening Unit, which will be available on the day.

Continuing its series of lectures, the Screen for Life Marketing and Education team will be present at the College of North Atlantic (CNAQ) auditorium for a lecture on the Breast Cancer and the importance of early screening. PHCC’s Mobile Screening Unit will be there also to provide immediate screening on the day.

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC)’s Screen for Life will join a prestigious panel of speakers at the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) Annual Conference. The two day event, under the theme “Present Standards and New Perspectives”, attracts physicians, nurses, pharmacists, industry experts and government officials, attending from across Qatar, the wider GCC and internationally. During the first day of the conference, Dr Shaikha Abu Shaikha, Cancer Program Manager at PHCC, will provide a dedicated session on the Breast and Bowel Screening Program in Qatar, as well as giving updates on the screening service, clinics and current data available. Attendees can also visit PHCC’s Mobile Screening Unit that will be present during the conference and will offer screening services.
